The Claremont Port Side is a monthly political magazine published by students of the Claremont Colleges.
Mission The Claremont Port Side is a student run progressive publication of the Claremont Colleges with contextualized, intelligent reports to advance debate among students and citizens. It is a progressive newsmagazine that offers pertinent information and thoughtful analysis on the issues confronting and challenging our world, our country, and our community.
Founding The publication was created during the 2003/2004 term by two Claremont McKenna College Seniors in hopes of spurring greater debate on the Claremont McKenna campus.
Controversy In its first year the Port Side was sued unsuccessfully for libel by the conservative Claremont Institute
