Citylight.net

Citylight.net is an intelligent street lightening system created, designed and manufactured in Latvia. The system works by using telemetry principles. In 2010 Citylight.net was admitted as innovative Latvian export product in "Export and innovation award 2010" by Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.
Citylight.net system components
The system consists of Citylight.net software and GSM based telemetry device C-BOX, which ensures “Citylight.net” functioning. C-NODE device allows controlling each individual lantern by switching it on/off or changing the light intensity.
System operations
The user, using a web browser, connects to the software, which is located on “Citylight.net” server. Through GSM data transfer method, user commands (e.g., turning lighting on/off) are transmitted to electrical distribution cabinet where the C-BOX control unit is installed. C-BOX executes the given user commands (turns on/off lines) and, if C-NODE device is installed, transmits them to the C-NODE through Powerline communications. C-BOX sends reports to the server on consumed energy, leakage current and existing situation of street lighting.
Light is turned off and on according to the mathematically calculated geographical coordinates corresponding to the solar cycle.
