The City of Angels International Christian Church. It has also been called the Portland International Church of Christ, International Christian Churches or "Portland Movement". It is a church in the greater Los Angeles, California area, led by Kip McKean, former leader of the International Churches of Christ.
History
International Churches of Christ
The church was started by a group of forty-two missionaries who moved down from Portland, Oregon, where Kip had been leading the Portland International Church of Christ. The inaugural service was held on May 6 2007.
The church is composed of two main ministries, the English ministry, and the Latin ministry, which holds its services in Spanish.
The group is considered a splinter group of the original ICC church in the the LA metro, The Los Angeles Church of Christ.
Kip McKean
Thomas "Kip" McKean (born May 31, 1954) is a Christian preacher, religion reformer, a formerly influential leader in the Boston Church of Christ, which evolved into an organization known as the International Churches of Christ.
