Christopher J. Dumler is an solo practice attorney in Scottsville, Virginia. A citizen of Scottsville since graduating from college in 2006, he is now a candidate for the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors from the Scottsville District. Education Dumler is a 2002 graduate of Shiloh High School in Snellville, Georgia. Dumler went on to graduate from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia with highest honors in 2006. He earned degrees in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Community involvement Since completing his undergraduate education and moving to Scottsville in 2006, Dumler has been very active in his community. He was appointed by the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors to the Board of Region Ten Community Services, which he also serves as Chairman of the Finance and Fundraising Committees. He also serves on the Albemarle County Natural Heritage Committee, and as Counsel for the Albemarle County Democratic Committee. In addition to his involvement with county-wide organizations, Dumler serves the town of Scottsville on its Board of Zoning Appeals and Government Services Committee. He is a member of the Scottsville Chamber of Commerce. He is on the Advisory Council of the Legal Aid Justice Center. Dumler is a volunteer firefighter and an Eagle Scout. Military service Dumler is a member of the reserve of the United States Army. He held his official announcement and campaign kick-off in downtown Scottsville on June 11, 2011. The seat is currently held by Democrat Lindsay Dorrier.
