</ref> Desloges, who is not deaf, was born and raised in Toronto. In 2007 he graduated from George Brown College's School of Deaf & Deafblind Studies, where he studied American Sign Language (ASL). Desloges served as an interpreter for Ontario Premier Doug Ford in 2020 during daily updates regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Acknowledged for his animated and passionate delivery, Desloges was thanked for his service by Ford who said: "My friend, you're a champion, you're a rock star, helping people in the deaf community, and it's so important the role you're playing". The praise was extended to Desloges on his last day as on-screen interpreter, a position he vacated to make way for a born-deaf interpreter whose first language is ASL.<ref name"Harris" /><ref name"Stone" />
