Christopher Colwill

Christopher James Colwill (born 1972) is a solicitor based in Mackay, Qld and a former Australian 400 meters and 800 meters runner. He was born in Brisbane, Qld and educated at the Brisbane Boys Grammar School from 1985 to 1989. On completion of his secondary education he attended the Queensland University of Technology where he completed a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1993. Some years after admission as a solicitor he moved to Mackay, Qld and now is a Partner in a legal firm. He is now married with two children and continues to compete in Masters Athletics, and recently competed at the Oceania Masters in 2008 held in Townsville, Queensland for Australia where he finished second in the 800 meters. He is coached by the former New Zealand Olympic Marathon runner Barry Magee. He will be attending the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing as a voluntary legal advisor for athletes competing for Australia. |
