Christopher A. Morris

Christopher Andrew Morris (born February 27, 1994) is a political operative in Michigan, formerly serving as the Michigan Field Director for Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. He oversaw the field program for the Trump campaign in Michigan during the 2016 United States presidential election, in which President-Elect Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by 10,704 votes, the closest election in Michigan history. It was also the first time that Michigan voted for a Republican nominee since 1988, when it voted for George H. W. Bush.
Early life
Morris was born on Sunday, February 27, 1994, in Anchorage, Alaska, in Providence Alaska Medical Center. He and his family moved to Washington State on his 7th birthday in 2001. He would move 12 times in his life before finally settling in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he has resided since 2004.
Political career
Morris got started in politics by volunteering for the Trump campaign in early February. Serving unofficially as the Field Coordinator in Grand Rapids, Morris assisted the campaign with both field and IT needs. Once Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, Morris was selected as an at-large Trump delegate for the 2016 Republican National Convention which took place in Cleveland, Ohio, from July 18 to July 21.
Professional career
Morris has a background in IT, graduating from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Information Systems.<ref name=":0" /> He is the founder and President of 616 Consulting,<ref name=":0" /> which specializes in IT consulting in the Greater Grand Rapids area (616 is the area code of Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas). Before joining the campaign for the general rlection, Morris also worked for a local software development company as a system administrator.<ref name=":0" />
Personal life
Morris is one of six children, all of which live in the Grand Rapids area, along with both of his parents. He is an advocate for Grand Rapids and West Michigan as a whole, believing that "Grand Rapids is one of the top cities in the United States, and will continue to grow and expand as more and more people realize its potential."
