History
William Hale and Chris Miller founded Christmas Lights Etc under the parent company iObjectSolutions in 2000. Both software consultants and web developers, they launched the company with the intention of being able to operate multiple e-commerce sites using a single website platform.
In 2004, Christmas Lights Etc began manufacturing their own lights and trees, with a focus on higher-end product. In 2006 they introduced the Giant Everest, the Christmas Lights Etc line of giant commercial Christmas trees that "grows" to be over 50' tall. The Giant Everest gained popularity both through it's design and commercial strength, and by offering smaller business the opportunity to invest in a smaller giant tree, and add a larger base with each season.
In 2006 TruTip™ technology was introduced. The TruTip™ line of trees uses polyethylene plastic and multiple color pigments to create a realistic looking tip that is formed using a mold. All material is flame resistant and non-allergenic.
Accomplishments
With the introduction of the Giant Everest, Christmas Lights Etc became a Christmas tree supplier for notable companies including Macy's, Six Flags, and The Walt Disney Company.
With an average selection of over 200 skus available in LED Christmas light strings and bulbs, Christmas Lights Etc has attracted the attention of multiple national news stations. Among the national attention, news coverage includes CNN, CBS, and Fox News, which labeled Christmas Lights Etc as "one of the largest online retailers of Christmas lights", and filmed their feature in the company showroom, focusing on LED Christmas lights and trees.
