Chris McLeod

Christopher Linden McLeod (born June 30, 1976) is the Co-host and Assistant Program Director of The Morning Show on CKSY radio in Chatham-Kent, Ontario. He is also the studio host and play by play announcer for the Windsor Spitfires broadcasts on Cogeco TV in Windsor, Ontario.
Early life
McLeod was born in the former city of Chatham, Ontario (now Chatham Kent) on June 30, 1976 to parents Norm McLeod and Wilhma (nee: Van de Beld).
Education
He attended Ursuline College (The Pines) in Chatham for his high school years before attending Loyalist College, enrolling in the Broadcast Journalism program.
Radio Broadcasting Career
McLeod began his career in March 2005 when he debuted as the morning host for Y108 radio in Hamilton, Ontario.
From 2007 until 2010 he was the mid-day host for FM96 Midday Host in London, Ontario before returning home to Chatham to take over the morning host and assistant program director duties in January 2010.
Windsor Spitfires Play by Play
In September 2012, McLeod took over for long time Spitfires voice Dominic Papa as the studio host and play by play announcer for the Ontario Hockey League team's home games. He is paired with former Spitfire and NHL player Todd Warriner.
Charity Work
McLeod runs an annual golf course to support Cancer research in Chatham Kent. The McLeod Moustache Memorial Golf Tournament is held each summer in memory of his brother Nik McLeod, who died in 2006 after being diagnosed with leukemia. All money raised for the golf tournament is donated to the Chatham-Kent Hospice, the Canadian Cancer Society Wheels of Hope, and the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Oncology Patient Parking Program.
Personal
McLeod has always been an avid sports enthusiast and counts the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs as his favourite teams. He is also active in the local sports scene in Chatham Kent with both of his children playing sports within the community. Additionally, McLeod is a proud member of the Champion Moose Lodge Slo-Pitch team.
