Chris Dyer

Chris Dyer is an Australian engineer who works for the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team as race engineer for Kimi Räikkönen. He was previously race engineer for Michael Schumacher.

Dyer graduated with a mechanical engineering degree in 1990. He went on to work at Packard Electric as a production engineer for one year, then moved to Holden Racing Team as a designer and data analysis engineer. He stayed with HRT until 1996, when he left to join the Arrows Formula One team in the United Kingdom as part of the track team.

During Dyer's time as Schumacher's race engineer at Ferrari, from 2003 to 2006, the Italian team won two Formula One Constructors' Championships and two Drivers' Championships. When Räikkönen joined Ferrari in 2007, he won his first race, although he was less competitive for most of the first half of the season. Dyer and Räikkönen worked closely together to make the Ferrari F2007 more suitable for Räikkönen's driving style and from the United States Grand Prix onwards, Räikkönen's results improved. At the end of the year, Räikkönen won the Drivers' Championship.
