Chris Darril

Chris Darril (Catania April 13, 1989) is an Italian video game designer, screenwriter, director and concept artist. He is the director, creator and founder of Darril Arts, which was originally founded in 2015.
After his studies, he was nominated Scientific committee member for IUDAV, Institute University Digital Animation & Videogames, then becoming teacher in media related to cinema and videogames. He started his career once involved into indie cinema and videogames little projects such as Releasya, an indie platform game and the Italian movie "Midway", a found footage B-serie horror movie but he officially reached his notoriety creating the indie game Remothered, an intriguing horror game that attracted the famous Clock Tower game saga creator, Hifumi Kono (Clock Tower: The First Fear, Michigan: Report from Hell, Infinite Space) which involved him into his Kickstarter campaign success, Project Scissors: NightCry (by the Japanese Nude Maker) then becoming NightCry, near great videogame industry personalities as Masahiro Ito (Silent Hill artist and designer), Kiyoshi Arai (Final Fantasy artist), Nobuko Toda (Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, The Evil Within, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Halo 5: Guardians composer and musician) and Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge and Ju-On sagas creator, author and director).
On April 11, 2015 Darril, with the Canadian Psychoz Interactive and the role of art director and designer, released Forgotten Memories: Alternate Realities, an old school survival horror, still an iOS exclusive and now awaited on next-gen platforms (Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC). The game has been nominated for 4 CVA Canadian Videogames Awards becoming an instant classic and truly appreciated from both critics and public audience. In 2016, on her official website port-folio, the award-winning composer Nobuko Toda announced her involvement into Chris Darril's new project, a 3d revival of the indie game that made him quite popular, Remothered with the mysterious subheading title of Tormented Fathers, collaboration lately confirmed by Chris Darril himself and his staff.
