Chris Albano

Christopher Albano is working executive chef and food writer from Western Massachusetts. He is a pioneer in the area’s culinary circle, and has launched and consulted at many area restaurants. A twenty year veteran chef across North American, the Caribbean and Canada, Albano has amassed his own style of global tastes and flavors. He is also a food writer contributing recipes and insight into food industry publications such as , , and Magazines.

Biography
Albano was raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, and attended Longmeadow High School. After working various food service jobs, he changed majors from engineering to culinary arts at . Upon completion he worked the local restaurant scene.

His career goals took a different turn after starting work at Madeleine’s Restaurant in Windsor, Connecticut. He worked with chef Warren Leigh, who was trained in Europe and by French Chef trainer Madeleine Kamman. Albano was able to work through the ranks of Leigh’s four restaurant group that included fine dining French, New American, Upscale Seafood, and a Wood Fired Brick Oven Bistro.

With a new appreciation for classical cooking and desire to test the waters of other cuisines, he began pushing the culinary envelope in his area, commanding the chef brigades at award winning restaurants , and . Albano was then recruited to help develop a new Asian-Tapas concept called .

As the trend of started to explode and interest for passionate creative chefs were now in demand, Albano found job offers coming from outside his native area of Massachusetts.
