Chloe Traicos

Chloe Rose Traicos is an Australian actress, film director and screen writer.
Traicos is the eldest daughter of spin bowler John Traicos and was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. As a little girl Chloe and her younger sister Catherine (now a singer-songwriter) used to often perform plays for their family. As she got older Traicos joined Repteens—the teenage theatre group for Reps, the one and only theatre in their town. In 1998 her family emigrated to Perth, Australia. She, however, went across to Sydney to pursue her film career. She obtained a tiny role in the Australian drama Garage Days as well as writing and starring in her own short film The Sixth Commandment.
Traicos protested the political situation in Zimbabwe by making a documentary on the subject. She interviewed numerous Zimbabwean refugees for her film, A Stranger in my Homeland. This premiered at the WOW Film Festival in Sydney in October 2009.
Shortly after Stephanie V, Traicos wrote and starred in her second feature Next Door to the Velinskys, playing opposite Thin Red Line star Matt Doran.
Traicos is currently living in Sydney where she is continuing to work on future projects.
