Books
* In The Bond between Women, Galland combines myths and travel narrative into a compelling story of the spiritual journey of women’s struggles both around the world and at sacred sites of pilgrimage. Galland demonstrates the fierce compassion with which women across the globe fight for justice and healing.
* In Longing for Darkness Galland chronicles her search for darkness, which represents her desire for transformation and wisdom. During her spiritual journey, she battles alcoholism, travels to the Himalayas, walks across Poland, and visits the Dalai Lama.
* Galland’s most recent book Love Cemetery reveals the history of an unmarked cemetery for slaves - Love Cemetery - which Galland learned of when she visited her childhood hometown in East Texas. Galland writes of her attempts to help restore the cemetery, which exposed racial wounds that have never completely healed. Galland organized an interracial committee made up of local religious leaders and lay people to work on restoring community access to the cemetery. Love Cemetery delivers a message of hope as members of both black and white communities come together to right an historical wrong, and in so doing, discover each other’s common dignity.
