Child sponsorship
The aim of Childcare Worldwide is to break the cycle of poverty through educating children. Their unique programs educate children in primary school, high school and trade school. Many of the children Childcare educates are orphaned; come from having no food or shelter, therefore their programs are designed not only to educate but feed hungry children and their families as well. Childcare's main program is individual child sponsorship. ”Our core business is sponsoring children, …we decided to provide homes for the families we’re already sponsoring.” Childcare Worldwide isn’t about coming in and totally changing the culture. It’s coming alongside the culture and giving them the opportunity to be empowered.” Sponsors are encouraged to follow the development of their child from the beginning of sponsorship until the completion of post secondary school. By learning a trade, Childcare Worldwide gives the children an opportunity to become self-sufficient to help them succeed. Through Childcare Worldwide's programs, children receive an education and learn a trade that inevitably results in a job. "100 years from now it won't matter how much money I had or how many possessions I owned; what will matter is the difference I made in the lives of children around the world." - Margaret Fishback Powers ©

How was it possible that what was begun in such a humble way could have touched the lives of tens of thousands of children?”
