Child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

The first child of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is due to be born between March and May 2019. On 15 October 2018, it was announced in a royal press release that they were expecting the birth of their child, and an estimate of a Spring 2019 delivery date was given. The Queen and other members of the Royal Family were informed at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on 12 October 2018, and personally congratulated the Duke and Duchess. The announcement made headlines worldwide. The child will be the seventh in line of succession to the British throne, after paternal grandfather Charles, paternal uncle William, cousins George, Charlotte and Louis, and father Harry. |
