Chidi Anthony Opara

Chidi Anthony Opara, a Nigerian Poet and member of World Poets Society, was born on 8 August, 1963 at Umude Avuvu in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, South-Eastern Nigeria.

He was educated at Community Primary School Umude Avuvu in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo state Nigeria, Enyiogugu Secondary School Aboh-Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state, Nigeria and Century Communications Academy New Delhi India,where he obtained a Professional diploma in Advertising.He worked in the private sector up to managerial positions and became a private consultant thereafter(see www.chidiopararesume.blogspot.com).

He has written many poems with which he seeks to change the society for the better like "The Just Are Few" which he published with other poems on his poetry website( see www.homelandmelodies.blogspot.com) with the title "Homeland Melodies And Other Poems".

In November, 2007, the World Poets Society (W.P.S), a Literary Organization of Contemporary Poets from all over the world(see www.world-poets.blogspot.com), inducted him into the membership of the august body.

He publishes "chidi opara reports" an internet based non-profit making public information project(see www.chidioparareports.blogspot.com),which subscribes to article 19 of the universal declaration of Human rights as its mission statement.

The World Poets Society on its website, described him and other members as "great poets".

He has also published extensively on the internet, especially on poemhunter.com regarded widely as World's number one poetry archive where he has been receiving favourable comments from other poets and non poets(see www.poemhunter.com).

He is also a member of the poetry segment of authorsden.com(see www.authorsden.com),he is married with children(see his poems titled "Chinyere Agnes Opara" and "Breakfast At Five Am?" published on his poetry website mentioned above).
