Chhagan Mehetre is an Indian politician associated with . He currently serves as an Buldhana district Assistant Liaison Officer in the party.
Political career
Chhagan Mehetre contested the 1999 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election from the Sindkhed Raja Assembly constituency as a candidate of Shiv Sena. He secured 20,148 votes, accounting for 16.3% of the total votes, but lost to Rajendra Shingne. He was the first candidate from Shiv Sena to contest from this constituency.
In 2004, his wife, Kamal Mehetre, won the Sindkhed Raja Municipal Council elections and became the first female mayor of the council.
Personal life
Chhagan Mehetre resides in Sindkhed Raja at his residence, Kamal Kunj. Apart from politics, he is also a businessman.
