Chartered valuer

Chartered valuer (CV or cVal) is the description given to the professional members of the Institute of Chartered Valuers (ICV). cVal's are professionals that conduct all forms of valuation including tangible and intangible asset classes.
Chartered Valuers assesses the monetary valuing tangible residential properties to large infrastructure assets and intangible assets such as patents and trademarks. Specialise areas include antiques as well as plant and machinery assets. Chartered Valuer's can specialise in a particular area's such as valuing motor vehicles or air craft’s. Chartered Valuers also conduct Business valuations including partnership interests as well as shares interests.
Chartered Valuers use a number methodologies including simplistic direct comparison or summation, to more complex discount cash flows; they use various tools including regression modelling.
