Charlie Zelenoff

Charles Zelenoff, better known as Charlie Zelenoff, (born Los Angeles, United States) is a professional boxer who fights in the welterweight division under the alias "Russian Pride". Like Kimbo Slice, Zelenoff became known for videos which spread primarily on the Internet.

Zelenoff gained notoriety after videos of himself "trash talking" and "calling out" a number of boxers were posted on Boxrec and Eastside Boxing forums. .
His videos were elaborate dissertations on his potential future as a "world champ", interlaced with trash talk and profanity. He also posted "training" videos of himself hitting a boxing bag or sparring in a boxing gym. Boxing fans eagerly awaited his eventual professional debut after months of these videos.
Professional career
Zelenoff turned professional in May 2008 at the Paris Middle School, Paris, Arkansas, United States. In his debut Zelenoff faced Arkansas based "tomato can" Andrew "Kid Thunder" Hartley who had a 1-13 record at the time.
Zelenoff was defeated after being disqualified in the first round of the fight after repeatedly spitting his gumshield out. The sequence of Zelenoff getting tangled up in the ropes and tripping to the canvas as he tries to escape the fight in a burst of panic have been widely popular ever since.
Zelenoff was currently scheduled to make his return to the ring in June 2009 against Paul "Hillbilly Pimp" Gardner in Arkansas however, Gardner pulled out of the bout and Blaine Burks stepped in to take his place and will now face Zelenoff for the TPS Welterweight Title.<ref name="Boxrec"/>
