Charlie Hanna Shaabi (born August 09, 1976) is a DJ and core member of the band ElectrowaveZ. Early life Born and raised in Acre, Israel, Shaabi was trained in mixing music by his first tape cassette and Sampler from childhood. At the age of 17, he mixed songs recorded from the radio using the pause button on his cassette player. when he first got influenced by Electronic dance music and culture. He Started Composing Music on first Computer with the Dos Program IT -Impulse Tracker.and DJed in small event and parties,then he buy his first Yamaha CS1x keyboard and start composing Techno and dance music in 1998. Charlie visit the United States and discover the hip hop Genre on 1999 and he got his Nick Name Dj Chuck. while he learning about the hip hop culture Chuck received a demo tape of his brother Richard telling him listen to our ,it was funny for chuck to listen for his first time to an arabic hip hop. History Richard and his friends Waseem Akar the man behind the idea of the and Mahmoud Shalaby start their first band in Israel called MWR the first letter of thier first names. Charlie Decided to came back to his studio in Israel and Help his friends and brother with the new group MWR. the MWR got their popularity when chuck mange the band and release their first track "because you are an Arab" using his first Yamaha CS1x keyboard. the track become a hit and as well as the new Genre become more popular by the Arabs audience for any king of ages. the big success give them a huge popularity even on the Jews dance floor in Tel Aviv clubs and lots of shows in the country and many events in the United State and France as well. because of the issue of the songs and the political views the band breakup on 2004 they leaved the arabic hip hop dance floor for many new groups and all the member of the band start his personal career. after the breakup Charlie become a manager and producer of hip hop group such as Arapiat the first band taht formed by two girls and other two Jewish sisters Athena and Baby S in 2005. charlie brings big success to the groups and many tours and Big Events In Germany, Sweden and Italy. when the Genre slow down Charlie focus on Producing hip hop Bands and beats and he went to the private college called BMP one of the leaders in the Music and Sound studying. while he studying at BMP Charlie become more Professional and start Remixing in a uniq way by composing and mixing the oriental Arabic music with the grove of hip hop and dance music, his official release track was Hawallom an old traditional Arabic wedding song the track was in a House version and got title the second best song on 2008 in the Radio "Sout Israel" and nu 1 hit on the top 20 locally song chart in the program "Fan Fananina" www.iba.org.il with Shadi Ballan for three weeks. after his own success he join the Salmon dance Competetion Blog of the Chemical Brothers Remix with his brother Richard In November,2007 and they achieved on the latest top 5 on that remix and got the second best remix. they make it soo uniq with an Arabic influence. after this success the tow brothers got offers of remix other groups such as Nine inch Nails and Nude. and then the brothers realize that their future is together. in 2008 Richard start ElectrowaveZ with his brother charlie onFebruary 2009 they release their first Remix "Kano Ya Habibi" old song of Fairuz in electro style combining fusion Arabic mix . and again the track was a big success and hit on Israel Radio "Sout Israel" www.iba.org.il.
