The Charles River Center is a 200,000 square foot shopping center in the suburban bedroom community of Bellingham, Massachusetts. Developed by S.R. Weiner and W/S Development of Chestnut Hill, MA, it opened in 1998 in the watershed area of the Charles River, which runs approximately 40 miles to Boston Harbor. Construction consulting services were handled by R. C. May & Associates, Inc. The Center is the third of four major developments built or planned in the area. Stallbrook Marketplace opened in 1993, the Crossroads Center (Bellingham) opened in 1996, and the proposed Shoppes at Bellingham will open in 2008.
Located at Exit 18 off Interstate 495, its position is heavily trafficked because of the population expansion and heavy development that continues along Boston's "outer belt".

Effects on local wetland In 2007, "heavy rainfall and poor maintenance" washed out elements of the development's stormwater management system, creating a problem with silt runoff into an adjacent wetland habitat. This drew the attention of a local conservation group, the Charles River Watershed Association. The Mall was described by town officials as being "very responsive" in efforts to clean up the problem.
