Charles Alexander Cofie is a Ghanaian businessman. He is the Chairman of Barclays Bank Ghana . He was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Unilever Ghana from 2005 to 2010. Early life and education Cofie was educated at Accra Academy for his secondary education from 1970 to 1977. He proceeded to the University of Ghana to pursue a bachelor's degree in Agriculture. Cofie took a took a Masters in Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management. In July, 2007, Cofie received the a National Award-Order of the Volta, Member Division from the Republic Of Ghana given by then president, John Kufuor, for his contributions to Ghanaian commerce and industry.<ref name:1/> That same year, he was voted Third Most Respected CEO in Ghana by peer group of top 100 CEOs in the 2007 Price Waterhouse Coopers Bi-Annual Survey of Top CEOs in Ghana.<ref name:1/>
