Chandler Dash

Chandler Dash (born September 14, 1985 in East Rutherford, New Jersey) is an African-American socialite, fashion designer who currently resides in New York City

Early Life

Dash was born in East Rutherford, New Jersey but spent her early years living with her parents in Beverly Hills, California. After her family relocated in 1990, they settled in Manhattan. Dash attended high school at the Dwight School in New York, where she befriended socialite and fashion designer Nicky Hilton.

Career

Dash graduated from Fordham University after majoring in communications and proceeded to intern at Roc-A-Fella Records before accepting the job title of Creative Consultant at Def Jam Records. During her time at the label she worked closely with Jay-Z, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Chrisette Michele, Rick Ross, Shareefa, Ludacris, and others on their stylish images.

In 2005, Dash resigned from her position at the record label to pursue a career as a celebrity fashion stylist and fashion designer.

She launched her own fashion label, Genvieve, in August 2005.

In 2007, Dash begin to work with rapper/producer Kanye West on his Pastelle fashion line and also
designed fashions for his Glow In The Dark World Tour.

She is also noted for working with Nicole Richie, Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, Lindsay Lohan, Misa Hylton-Brim, and Mary J. Blige. Dash's current client list includes Stacey Dash, Paris Hilton, Joy Bryant, Khloe Kardashian, Gabrielle Union, Sanaa Lathan, Ne-Yo, and Nia Long.

Personal Life

Dash is the cousin of mogul Damon Dash and actress Stacey Dash. She co-owns two buildings of luxury condos in Manhattan and Miami with brother, Jacob Dash.
