Chad Vargas(Fictional Character)

Chad Vargas (born Ezekiel Vargas - Mobile, Alabama April 1, 1980) is a member of the Extreme Wrestling League based out of Orlando, Florida - he is currently holding the World Heavyweight Championship and the Intercontinental title - he is one of the original members of the Extreme Wrestling League and has signed what has been coined by management as a "lifetime contract" meaning it exceeds a ten year period.

Humble Beginnings

Chad Vargas (born Zeke Vargas) was the youngest of 12 children and grew up in poverty standards, he graduated from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School and soon moved off to Nashville, Tennessee.

Nashville and the XPW

From the time he landed in Nashville Chad (Zeke) Vargas became a fixture on the XPW Independent Circuit capturing the XPW Heavyweight title on two separate occasions before landing in the EWL.

Extreme Wrestling League

Chad Vargas began his EWL career based in Orlando, Florida in 2007 and quickly turned the federation on it's ear - going on a three month undefeated streak and winning the intercontinental title from Jeff Hardly, during his Intercontinental Title reign he had a notorious feud with Spike Love and has since remained undefeated, on July 24, 2008 he captured the EWL Heavyweight title from former teammate and close friend Chris Legend.

Chad Vargas Little Known Facts

-Chad Vargas did not marry his second cousin nor did he father a child with her as was insisted by Spike Love.

-Chad Vargas is a practicing Orthodox Jew and donates 18% or Chai, which means life in Hebrew, has a numerological value of 18 and the Jewish community often gives gifts in multiples of 18 as a result of the proceeds from his merchandise sales to Ronald McDonald House.

-Chad Vargas chews Redman Tobacco.

-Recently Chad Vargas was the best man of his on screen nemesis Spike Love at his wedding in June, 2008.

-Chad Vargas drives a Toyota Tercel - even though while in character he speaks of his Chevy truck.

-Chad Vargas is a registered Democrat, and was a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton in her bid for the party nomination.

-Vargas owns the trademark on many of his patented insults, when asked as to why he said "I want to beat Gene Simmons at something".

-Anytime that Chad Vargas is portrayed as drinking a beer it is of a non-alcoholic kind.
