Center of Waste Management Indonesia

Center of Waste Management Indonesia (CWMI) has a concept to unify engineer, scientist, manager, and experts from the field of waste management both from academic, industry, and government in order to become a pioneer of waste management concept improvement in various aspects, both from the aspect of technology, management, education, and social empowerment. This center will be the first center of the development, recognition, and learning in the field of waste management based on a comprehensive and integrated technology in Indonesia.
CWMI was founded in 2012. This center is an institution which moves actively to handled the problem of waste management, especially in Indonesia. Located in Tangerang, Banten, CWMI offers strategies and technologies that can provide sustainable results, such as Waste Processing Technology; Publication and Data Center; Seminar, Education, and Training; Consulting Services and Studies.

Mission
To contribute in various aspects for environmental improvement through research, development, recognition, and learning, also to create an integrated solid waste management system which adopted 5R Concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, Recovery) based on technology.
Through the translation of our missions above, the objective and specific contributions defined below :
# Center of Waste Management Indonesia is expected to build a foundation toward management systems and waste treatment technology which are sustainable for the environment , wold class standard, in Indonesia.
# Center of Waste Management Indonesia as the entity that serves a function to research, educate, and serve the community comprehensively and integratedly, not only about waste and environment, but conserves the three basic elements - creating a sustainable community in the social, economy, and environment aspects based on technology.
# Center of Waste Management Indonesia is expected to take a part in the coordinating process and to help policy establishment, system analysis, strategy, and waste management contract in Indonesia.
# By establishing a good system of waste management and maximizing resource recovery through the use of existing technologies and the development of the newest technology that appropriate to waste characteristics, efficient, effective, and environmentally friendly in various city/regency in Indonesia can give a positive impact in all aspects of life.
