Celliant

Celliant is a brand-name synthetic polymer bicomponent fiber made from polyethylene terephthalate with optically active particles embedded into the core. Initially marketed as Holofiber, Hologenix changed the name to Celliant to avoid confusion about the nature of the core of its fiber. From Thermal radiation. "...the human body is a very efficient emitter of infrared radiation...". Celliant is claimed to capture infrared energy from the body, i.e., body heat, and efficiently direct it back. The company clamis that this increases the oxygen level of the blood flowing to the body parts it covers.
Applications
Celliant is being used in products by athletic apparel manufacturers like Saucony. Celliant is currently being used in bedding, apparel, medical, and veterinary products.
