CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert ) is a professional designation earned by real estate professionals who have completed training programs provided by the Distressed Property Institute, LLC on homeowner foreclosure-avoidance processes and strategies. Upon the completion of training, students receive the CDPE designation and join the CDPE Membership Organization. As of September 1, 2009, the CDPE Membership Organization had 10,698 active members. The Distressed Property Institute, LLC Author of the CDPE designation, the Distressed Property Institute provides training programs for real estate professionals in foreclosure avoidance processes, tools and strategies. The Institute was founded in January 2008 in Boca Raton, Florida, and is currently headquartered in Austin, Texas. Co-founder Alex Charfen serves as the Institute’s chief executive officer. |
