Google Summer of Code
CCExtractor has been participating in Google Summer of Code since 2015, an open-source program by Google which offers stipends to students to write code for open-source projects. Some of CCExtractor's Google Summer of Code's projects include the creation of Subtitle Extractor, writing of a sample platform, and development of a burned-in subtitle extraction program.
Google Code-in
CCExtractor only began participating as a mentoring organization in Google Code-In since 2016, another open-source competition by Google aimed at introducing pre-university students to open-source. Numerous bug fixes and improvements have been created as a result of CCExtractor's participation in this program.
