Cath Long

Catherine Long is an environmental activist working for Well Grounded, and organisation that she set up in 2010 together with Iola Leal Riesco. Cath has a PhD in forest ecology and over 15 years she has worked to assist forest communities to secure their rights to control and use their forest resources. Over the past decade, she has mostly worked in the Congo Basin and in the Andean Amazon. Prior to Well Grounded, Cath worked with the International Institute for Environment and Development and for the Rainforest Foundation UK.
