Catalina Guirado-Cheadle is a British model and television broadcaster, celebrity and art estate director. Early life Catalina was born in Auckland, New Zealand. Her father was Spanish painter Juan Antonio Guirado and her British mother was Audrey Ballard. A nude portrait of her by New Zealand Artist James Coe is in the Museum of New Zealand. Career In 1996 she was cast as "Gorgeous Girl" on the multi award winning British cult TV show TFI Friday. After hosting VH1 and Sky sports she returned to her musical roots and signed a singer-songwriter publishing deal with Momentum Music which became part of Universal Music in 2000. As a songwriter, Guirado worked with members of Echo and the Bunnymen, Super Furry Animals and others in supergroup The Serpents. She wrote songs alongside Henry Priestman, The Yachts and The Christians, Guy Batson, St. Etienne, Johnny Male from Republica, UK girl group TNT who took her song "Shine" and had a top 20 hit in the UK. She had songs optioned by Blondie, as well as music placed in TV shows and had a small role in British Indie flick Offending Angels. Living between Los Angeles and London, Guirado appeared on American Television's The Osbournes, as a friend of Jack Osbourne as well as the documentary show Summer in St Tropez. The documentary saw her guiding the viewer through the hotspots and notspots of the paradise. The program was originally shown for six weeks on E4. After returning to Los Angeles full-time Guirado appeared as a nurse in The Blue Sombrero and as 'Grace' in Jag Mundra's Private Moments. (2007-10) backed by music heavyweights, as well as becoming one of the creators and part of the management team. As head of artist liaison and development, she was responsible for the initial artist acquisition, development of featured artists, promotions and building relationships with labels and management. For LP33.tv SXSW channel (the first official web TV channel for SXSW) Guirado took a Brit style look at the music festival, interviewing artists such as White Lies, Pendulum, Ben Jelen and The Proclaimers and rising stars. After leaving LP33.tv in 2009 She continued as executive consultant and TV host for special events such as the Sunset Strip Music Festival and Mc Donald’s music TV shows and Canadian music TV. She was interviewed on Spanish television and radio on the subject. She also hosted a Soho House breakfast talk on Art and Virtual Reality LOVE, ELLE magazine, Arte ES, AD Magazine, Marie Claire and Arté. Design Forming Guirado Legacy in 2014 she crafted a brand that reflects the philosophy of Guirado’s art, accenting spirituality, sustainability and regard for the planet. As Creative Director she combines influences from the Mediterranean, boho California and London rock chic for the perfect fusion of art, design, music and fashion to create a luxury experience. Digitally reworking select paintings with an emphasis on spiritual relevance and nature, she designed exclusive wallpaper and textiles for the Karma Sanctum hotel in Soho London as well as celebrity rockstar clientele. Her collection of silk scarves was sold exclusively at London luxury design shop and featured in editorial magazines including Architectural Digest, Good Housekeeping and Tatler.<ref name=":0"/>
