Caramel are an English rock band formed in London in 2016 by William Cunningham (vocals, keyboards, guitar) and Sasha Moxon (keyboards, samplers). Their musical style blends elements of 1960s American psychedelic rock with electronica, incorporating samples from various sources, and earned the band a cult following. Deluxe Edition, Caramel's first full length album, was released on Friday 22 November 2019, by DuoPoly Records. It was partly recorded at London's Wilton Way Studio and at Cunningham's home studio, where he also produced and mixed. It was premiered by The Big Takeover. The first single "Queesh" was premiered on The Vinyl District. In the article, Cunningham details his roots as a collector of music, especially his interest in vinyl records. Subsequently, surf-fashion magazine What-Youth premiered the second single from their debut album, "Golden Ways". "Golden Days" is a remix by Alexander von Mehren of album track "Golden Ways". It was featured as the tenth track of Deluxe Edition and was also reviewed by Under the Radar. Aside from founding members Cunningham and Moxon, Caramel has experienced regular lineup changes. The band has included Cedric Monzali (drums), Cunningham's twin brother Jordan Cunningham (guitar), James Pierce (guitar), and Eamonn Freel (bass). The current members include Cunningham, Moxon and Cedric Monzali.
