Candiss Casto-McGlynn

Candiss Casto-McGlynn was born December 5th, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Missouri City Elementary School and graduated in 1978 from Excelsior Springs, Missouri High School.

In 1984 she began dating the tour manager for a group named Rough Cutt, who, at that time, were the front band for Ronnie James Dio. After touring briefly throughout 1984 with them she decided to make the move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music industry.

Candiss found success in Los Angeles with bit extra parts in the movies 'Valley Girls' and 'Jake Speed'. She also acted in music videos for groups such as The Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Slaughter and Rough Cutt. Her waist length hair made her a hot commodity for the 'hair band' groups of the 1980s.

Candiss' love for music and knack for writing awe inspiring lyrics made her much sought after in the music industry. Her lyrics graced the albums of many of the 1980s bands. With a style compared to the likes of Nicolette Larson, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie, throughout the late 1980s Candiss flourished in the Los Angeles music industry.

In early 1989 Candiss took a month long vacation to Florida where she traveled around the state visiting friends. It was at that time she decided it was time for a career & lifestyle change.
