Candice Pillay (born in June 10, 1981), is a South African Pop and R&B singer-songwriter and model now established in Los Angeles. Biography Candice was born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa from Indian parents. At the age of 17 she decided to move to the States to increase her chances of becoming a singer. She modelled for two years, but during a trip to Los Angeles with her church choir, her 5 octave voice caught the attention of producer Quincy Jones at the State Choir Competition. She had released her first and successful mixtape "Take A Picture". It was hosted by DJ Kay Slay. By the age of 21, Candice is now concentrating on her first album which should be completed sometime in 2008. She is also working on her next mixtape entitled UnSeen which should be completed by December, 2008.
