Cameron Roberson (born March 13, 1992) was an American football running back. He played high school football at Newbury Park High School in Newbury Park, California. He gave his oral commitment to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football program in September 2009. He also had scholarship offers from Northwestern, Washington, Arizona, BYU, Minnesota and Utah. Roberson enrolled at the University of Notre Dame in 2010. He redshirted in his freshman year and played on the scout team. He sustained a knee injury in March 2011 before his redshirt freshman season. In August 2012, Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly announced that Roberson was no longer a member of the football team. Kelly said, ""Cam Roberson physically was not able to compete at the level that he felt was necessary to play here at Notre Dame," Kelly said. "We are going to pursue a medical hardship for him."
