Camden College of English

Language in London in Bloomsbury, London, England is the first language school in the world to offer a course called English Language Cultural Experience. The idea behind this course is to "make learning memorable" by rejecting the classroom and traditional course books. All lessons are in places of cultural interest (e.g. British Museum, British Library, Museum of London, Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of Childhood) around London.
English Language Cultural Experience was nominated by the British Council for an English Language Teaching Innovation Award (ELTON).
On 02 March 2006, the British Council announced that Language in London (previously called Camden College of English) had won the ELTON for Innovation in English Language Teaching. This is the first time a language school has been given this award.
The school, which is accredited by the British Council and is a member of Tandem International and English UK, is run by Stuart Rubenstein with his wife Greta.
Language in London is located at 42 Bloomsbury Street, only seconds away from the British Museum in a historic Georgian building dating back to 1776.
Students take Cambridge exams (First Certificate, Advanced, Proficiency) and also prepare for IELTS. IELTS is the English language test that non-native speakers are required to take if they want to attend university in the UK, Australia, New Zealand or Canada. In the USA, universities tend to request TOEFL.
