Calvin Medlock

Calvin Dan Medlock (born November 8, 1982 in Houston, Texas) is a former Minor League Baseball relief pitcher. He attended four major league camps, and in the minor leagues was a three-time All Star.
High school and college
Medlock graduated from Westbury High School, where he was a MVP during his junior and senior years. He was signed by scout Jimmy Gonzalez. He did not sign until the next year on May 20, choosing instead to spend a year in college. In 22 games, including 15 stars, he was 8-3 record with a 2.57 ERA in 94.2 innings.
In , Medlock pitched for the Single-A Sarasota Reds. He was the Reds' Minor League Pitcher of the Year, after making 17 starts in 25 games in which he had a 6-3 record with a 3.06 ERA. Upon acquiring him, the Devil Rays immediately assigned him to Triple-A Durham. Medlock finished the season in Durham, making 9 relief appearances and a 3.45 ERA. In 2009, he pitched for Montgomery (for whom in mid-May he was leading the league in saves), Durham, and for Los Leones del Caracas in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.
He finished his career with the Águilas de Mexicali in the Mexican Pacific League in 2010. and coaches the Texas Rebels youth travel teams.
