Calling Cat 22

Calling Cat 22 is a mini animated series that premiered on Cartoon Network on June 15, 2008. It revolves around what appears to be a secret agent cat, who is assisted by other cats who appear to be secret agents as well. Their primary goal seems to be discovering the "secrets" of various dog behaviors, such as dogs' obsession with flying plastic discs (Frisbees). Each episode is usually around 5 minutes long. The title Calling Cat 22 and even the actions of the main character, Cat 22, is a play on the concept of Catch-22. Cultural references The gag with Cat 22 being blown up by the self-destructing message in every episode is a reference to the original Get Smart series, which used the same gag in every episode. |
