Caidin Film Company

The Caidin Film Company is an independent holding company responsible for the management of many early films originally released through United Artists.
Film collector Stanley Caidin acquired the rights to a considerable part of UA's pre-1952 back catalog that had mainly been under the ownership of the films' respective producers. To that end, Caidin established a company to manage this portion of the library so they can continue to be seen by future generations.
Distribution of the Caidin library has passed on through different companies, beginning with Castle Hill Productions, and later with Castle Hill successor Westchester Films, under the supervision of Julian Schlossberg. Additional distribution and sales are in part by either Janus Films, DreamWorks Classics, or Warner Bros..
In 2014, the Caidin library became the property of via its acquisition of Westchester Films.
