Caffè Moak

Caffè Moak is an Italian Joint-stock company that produces roasted coffee, founded in 1967, with headquarters in Modica, in the Free municipal consortium of Ragusa (Sicily).
History
Founded in 1967 by Giovanni Spadola, as a small company for the roasted and distribution of coffee, later it expanded the distribution area, to become a joint stock company in 2005.
Regarding the name of the company, Spadola took the toponym of the Arab domination in Sicily, Mohac (Modica) and changed it to Moak.
Initiatives
Since 2002, the company has annually promoted a national narrative contest, Caffé Letterario, to which the photography and visual communication contests have been added. The initiative pays tribute annually to a prominent representative of literature around the world. In 2020, for example, the graphic icon of the event was Tonino Guerra.
