Burlington Creek

Burlington Creek is a mixed use development in Kansas City, Missouri. The development has a shopping and dining district called the "Village at Burlington Creek", and has a residential district called the "The Residents at Burlington Creek Luxury Apartments" which are an upscale apartment complex in the Kansas City Northland.
Burlington Creek was formerly known as "Tuilleries Plaza" (not to be confused with the much more notable "Country Club Plaza" which is most commonly referred to as "The Plaza" and is south of downtown Kansas City. (Tuilleries Plaza was referred to as simply "Tuilleries")) until 2012, when new ownership came to the shopping district. Upon the new ownership major changes went into effect on the unpopular shopping area, a new ice rink called " The Rink at Burlington Creek was built in the heart of the shopping area. It is the only outdoor ice rink in the Kansas City Northland, and in the summer the Rink at Burlington Creek becomes "The Sands at Burlington Creek" which is an outdoor beach volleyball court. Other changes to the shopping district included the new residential apartment complex, new food establishments including Dominic's Casual Italian, Smoothie King, Wine Bar and Shoppe, and a soon to break
ground Culver's. There are also new shops and businesses including Mosaic Life Care. Burlington Creek is also home to the Kansas City branch of Missouri Western State University.
