Bunny Girl

A Bunny Girl, also known as Usagimimi as known in Japanese culture, is a trope Human female character that features Rabbit like ears on the top of her head, either in the form of a bunnyear headband or naturally occurring rabbit like ears.
Bunny girls most often wear a "bunny suit" along with the implementation of ears and may either still carry human ears or maybe missing their human ears as naturally occurring rabbit like ears replace them.
Appearance
A Bunny Girl character is always female, and wears a Bunnyear headband or has natural rabbit ears protruding from the top of hear head.
Most often a Bunny Girl is also wearing some form of a bunnysuit, usually a one-piece such as a Leotard or other sort of female body suit that exposes her legs and a fair amount of breast cleavage, accompanied by leggings such as Thigh Highs or Panty Hose and High Heels.
The actual Bunny Suit, as created by Playboy features a Bunnyear Headband, A strapless one piece, with Tuxedo styled wrist cuffs and bowtie collar.
Origin and history
Bunny Girls originated in American culture first as the Playboy Bunny as inspired by Hugh Hefner paying homage to Bunny's Tavern; a bar in which Hugh Hefner visited in the late 1940s. This lead to the inspiration and creation of the Bunny outfit for the Playboy Bunny, the costume originally conceived by Victor Lownes, designed by Zelda Wynn Valdes, and subsequently refined by Hugh Hefner. This costume was designed to be used for waitresses in Playboy Clubs.

Famous and well known bunnygirl characters from media include
* Fran from Final Fantasy XII.
* Riven from League of Legends, has a playable Bunny Girl outfit, known as Battle Bunny Riven.
* Reisen Udongein Inaba, a character from the Touhou games.
* Haruhi Suzamiya, the main female lead from the anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzamiya, wear's a Bunny Girl outfit when handing out flyers and performing in a talent show at her highschool.
* Chii from Chobits. While not a true bunny girl, her excessively long hair is always split into two tails with a bunnyear like appearance and her imagery throughout the manga series was constantly portrayed as a rabbit.
