Bulbul Hayat Kakakhail

Bulbul Hayat Subedar was born in Golaghmuli in 1938. He was the one son of Charvelu Zumbul Hayat. He joined the Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts in 1956 and fought in the front line with bravery and valour while in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and 1971 demonstrating practical patriotism.
In 1975 he joined the Northern Light Infantry and retired as a Subedar in 1979. From 1979 to 1995 he worked as a warfare officer of the Soldier Board. From 1980 to 1986 he worked as a chairman of the Union council of Teru Ghizer. He became president of the Ismaili local council of Golaghmuli Ghizer from 1984 to 1990. He also worked as a member of the district council of Ghizer from 1988 to 1993. From 1993 to 1995 he worked as a Convenior or ismaili arbitration board. On the 10th of July 1995 he died by a fatal disease of cancer.
He accomplished a great job for Nallha Khukush and Shandur. The boundary line established between Ghizer and Chitral by Raja Murad Khan and Governor Mestuj was destroyed by Chitral administrators. Once again Bulbul Hayat Kakakhail established a sign board for the boundary of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan in Shandur at the same place. In the sign board there was written that "this is the actual boundary line of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral". But unfortunately Chitral Scouts and DCO Chitral demolished the boundary line made by Subedar Bulbul Hayat Kakakhail and the government of Gilgit-Baltistan kept silence.
The people of Teru brought woods for fuel from the Nallah Khukush. In this case he played a significant role which will be written in golden words in the history of Nallah Khukush and Shandur.
