Bryan L. Shader is a mathematician working in discrete mathematics, combinatorics, graph theory, multilinear algebra, and matrix theory, and especially on the use of algebraic techniques on combinatorial problems, and the use of combinatorics and graph theory to strengthen results in linear algebra and matrix theory. He is a professor of mathematics at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, Wyoming, United States. Shader did his B.S. from the University of Wyoming in 1984, his M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987 and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1990 under the supervision of Richard A. Brualdi. Beside being a full professor at the University of Wyoming he has been on the editorial boards of the journals Linear Algebra and its Applications, Electronic Journal of Linear Algebra, and Linear & Multilinear Algebra.
