History
In the late 1800's, the Brown Family's house and barn burnt completely to the ground. The family started to re-build right away, but building the barn and house in a different area of the field. As seen in the photo below, the house is near the center of the field, while back then it was southwestward more. Ever since the farm was founded, there has always been a Christmas Party. After all of the live stock was gone, the chicken coop and barn was just left there to rot and corrode. The barn was about three stories high, the corrosion was so bad they were worried that it would fall onto the road. It was ordered to be demolished. Every July people are hired to cut the wheat and make into bales of hay. On June 18,2011, a logging loader caught on fire and was so bad the fire department came to put the flames out.
In The Area
The "Family" also owns a cove that extends into the property called Brown Cove (as seen in Google Map photo)
At the southern most point of the field, there is a trail that leads to a park that is along Little Skookum Inlet called Port Blakly.
In the field to the north, there is a big boulder that children usually run to and climb on. They call it Boondocks Rock or The Honeymoon Rock for some reason?
