Brother HL-1250

The Brother HL-1250 is an antiquated laser printer manufactured by the well-known maker of printers and other electronic ephemera, Brother.
It can print up to 12 pages per minute and has a resolution of up to 1200x600 DPI. It contains a 66 MHz processor as well as 4MB of DIMM memory. It works with Linux, Apple Mac and Windows versions 3.1 through 7.
It was a very popular model among local councils and other governmental organisations, as well as companies and schools, but has since been superseded by newer printer models such as the HP LaserJet 5.
Ethernet, USB and parallel port connections are provided on the rear of the printer, and its front panel contains several informative LEDs which blink in varying combinations of colour depending on the state of the printer and its various printing related facilities.
Paper can be inserted in a large tray located towards the bottom of the printer, and a helpful gauge is provided to show when the paper is about to run out.
It is no longer available.
