Brookhurst Junior High School

Brookhurst Junior High School is a junior high school serving children in grades 7 to 8 in Anaheim, California, since 1956. Brookhurst is one of eight junior high schools in the Anaheim Union High School District. In 2006, the school was led by principal Russ Earnest. Starting in 2010 Derrik Garcia became assistant principal. In 2006, 1,407 children were enrolled, with 668 in 7th grade and 739 in 8th grade. In October 2006, Brookhurst celebrated its 50th anniversary by having a Renaissance assembly. Renaissance is an acclaimed program that has won the state's Golden Bell Award for excellence in education and has shown improvement in academic studies at Brookhurst. |
