Broken Spoke Records

Broken Spoke Records was an American country music record label based in Austin, Texas. Its owner, James White, was also the owner of the Broken Spoke dance hall in Austin, founded in 1964. He founded the record label in an effort to broaden the reach of South Austin dance hall music.<ref name=":0" />
Its first release was the 1989 album Pure Country by fiddler and bandleader Alvis Crow, co-founder of the label.<ref name":0" /> By 1992, Crow had released four albums with Broken Spoke Records, including Cowboy I.<ref name":1" />
