Brightly.eco is a sustainability website. It was founded in 2019 by Laura Alexander Wittig. Wittig is formerly of Amazon, Google, and Adobe. Brightly was part of Snapchat’s Yellow Accelerator program in 2020. In January 2021, Brightly raised $1 million in a funding round. Investors in the round include Tacoma Venture Fund, Keeler Investments, and the Female Founders Alliance. Odile Roujol, the former CEO of Lancôme, also invested through her firm FAB Ventures. Wittig is the host of Brightly’s podcast, Good Together, which has been featured six times by Apple Inc. since its 2019 launch. In 2022, Good Together was featured by as a “crucial podcast about the climate crisis and sustainable living.” In 2021, TechCrunch called Brightly a “curated platform that sells vetted eco-friendly goods and shares tips about conscious consumerism.” In 2022, the National Retail Federation highlighted Brightly in a report about sustainably-minded consumers, noting platforms like Brightly allow shoppers to “discover new, eco-friendly brands and products while providing a platform for brand storytelling and community.”
