Brian Monroe is a punter who is in training camp with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. It is unlikely he will make the team due to roster restrictions for american imports while the team is also carrying american kicker Alexis Serna. During the 2007 offseason he signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted rookie free agent. For most undrafted rookies it is hard to be signed especially for kickers and punters, though that is how most become starters. He was released. Brian played American football at the University of Miami. If he had played during the season he would have been the only black punter currently in the NFL. Miami At Miami he was an underachieving punter. Unlike the majority of punters, who are right footed, he uses his left foot. At Miami, he was also used for kickoffs. |
